Ok....I was just about finished typing my eventful day at the Airshow and my fingers decided to press "Ctrl-A" followed by A again. And that effectively erased my past 15mins of typing. I give up trying to tell this story. Maybe its never meant to be told.=.=Here's something though:

ok...Pei Ying has persuaded me to re-type out last Friday's events.
Hazzy & I were short on cash, so we decided to be smart and walk to the place from the airport. Cause the only options of getting there were by shuttle ($5), taxi and car. So after about half an hour of walking, we ended up at the Budget Terminal. We had barely walked for 10mins, when Hazzy started complaining about getting lost and wasting his time. Then we thought of asking a cop for directions. Turns out that airport security at the Budget Terminal aren't very helpful. It went something like this:
"Hi...do you happen to know where the Airshow is? Could you give us directions?"
"Er...it should be nearby la..its at Changi Air Base and you're now in Changi so it should be nearby.."
"Okaaay...thanks..."
"Sorry ah...how you all buy ticket? I was thinking of buying also.."
"Umm...these tickets are free from my friend..."
"Oh...ok...never mind..."
So now we were lost and hot, (I wore my black long sleeve shirt) and we were thirsty. We tried using Hazzy's E65 to find a map to give us a clue on how much further on we had to walk. The map was not helpful either. After a lot of discussing and arguing we ended up taking a cab there. Because we took it from the airport, there was an extra $3 surcharge on top of the starting $2.80.
So with a total of $11 ($8 from Hazzy, $3 from me) we took a gamble and got into a cab. Because of the starting charges, we were left with $5.20 for the actual journey. Thats not a lot since cabs are costing twice as much now. Throughout the entire ride, we kept peering around the front seats and staring at the meter, hoping it would magically slow down or stop. And we started silently counting how much credit we had left before we were totally dry.
We were about 90% there when the meter hit $11, and we screamed at the uncle to let us out.
Uncle: "You no money ah?"
Us: "Got...just enough..."
Uncle: "Never mind...I drive you inside...too far for you to walk.."
Us: "Er...ok...thank you uncle..."
It was a miracle we hopped into a nice uncle's cab. Those are a rare breed these days. As it turned out, had we opted to walk, it would be for another 3km at least. Never been so grateful to a cabbie before.
So we reached the Airshow hot, sweaty and thirsty and with $0 and maybe 60cents. That 60cents was Hazzy's. Oh...and I forgot to mention how irritating Hazzy was the whole time, from the airport all the way to the Airshow. He kept advertising for that stupid Nokia GPS phone and kept giving demonstrations and salesman talk.
"You see? If we had the Nokia GPS phone, we wouldn't be lost, and we would get to our destination faster."
"If we had that Nokia GPS phone, all we had to do was this :*doot* *doot* 'Turn left after 200meters' then 'You have reached your destination'"
"So what have you learnt today? The Nokia GPS phone is one of the world's greatest inventions. So you go buy one now and save our butts."
I swear I could have murdered him right there and then.
Anyway, we toured the Airshow for about 2 hours and then got tired and wanted to go home. We got too dehydrated to continue so we popped into a toilet and drowned ourselves with water from the taps. I had a bit of a headache too from the lack of water and the heat from the sun.
So we strolled towards the exit and we passed a couple of shuttle buses. Then we discovered that we could pay for the shuttle buses with our EZ-link cards. It appeared that another miracle happened, until Hazzy tapped his card after me. The dreaded "*DOOT* *DOOT* *DOOT* *DOOT* *DOOT*" blared throughout the bus. Hazzy and I gave each other that "Oh shit" look and he had to get off the bus while I was stuck on it.
So I was whisked off towards Expo MRT station while Hazzy had a long 4 to 5km walk ahead of him. At least I think he walked. I tried calling and messaging him but I didn't get a reply.
So that was our day at the Airshow. No cheap transport there, no cheap drinks there, in fact one of the most inhospitable places Singapore can offer.

I don't wannna wait another minute,
Put me out of my misery,
I can read your mind baby, you're not in it
And we're not what we used to be
No you wouldn't have to lie to me
If you would only let me go
And I don't wanna wait another minute to hear,
Something that I already know
Something that I already know
So save your voice
Don't waste your breathe
Can't you see we're at the end
And this goodbye is permanent
So wish me well and try to forget
I think its a combination of pressure from exams and the usual dead Valentine's Day crap. You know what I did on Valentine's Day? I went on an exciting and fun date with my faithful Lee Hua to buy my Zen. Even then I had to borrow my date's card to pay because my stupid cheque still hasn't arrived. After the purchase I owed my date $159 and a chocolate ice cream because I lost a bet.
Oh well...I'll just tell myself the same thing ever since puberty and Valentine's clashed: Maybe next year. Maybe next year.
And I'm still pissed at you for what you did. Don't even think I will forgive and forget.Valentine's day just took those memories and gave me a hard slap on the cheek. Cupid's pointing and laughing; he's probably sniggering as he checks off the number of years I've been single in his notebook.
My car can't drift. Dunno why...its too stable...just have to wait till school reopens I guess. So impatient to race against the other guys.
I'm going off...its time to do some thinking again.

Zzzzzzzz....one more week to exams, and I'm at home almost everyday trying to cram. Trying. I just don't have that motivation which I relied on during my time at BHSS. I guess its because there's no weird Hanafie to compete against, or a freaky Ryan to shut up from all his boasting and insults at people who are not as 'talented' as him. Then there's no Mrs Raj who gives you that smile which makes you squirm and feel guilty inside. No Ms Vera Low to prove her wrong and stare defiantly back; no What's-That-Chinese-Teacher's name to have fun with and make very cheem English jokes with. Especially Sean. Keeps making that teacher all confused and all she can say is 'Chen Shen ah...'.I just miss the 5N1 people. Life's just not the same without everyone. I can't focus on things like I used to.\
I really hope I don't remodule anything. I don't want to get transferred to another class and mess up everything again.
I'm leaving at about 3pm for a drift meet at Bukit Batok with Hazzy. My car can't seem to drift normally...don't know what's wrong with it...I'll bring it to the meet and see if the pros can do something about it. Then after that we're popping by Kevin's place to collect our annual bonus and watch the Man Utd - Man City derby match. Very special match because not only is it a derby match, but its also the 50th anniversary of the Munich disaster where 7 Man Utd players lost their lives in a plane crash.
Okay...this soccer talk must be boring the crap out of everyone. I'll stop.
P.S: Its weird that I have almost the same pet peeves as Sam.
P.P.S: I'm gonna get a new bike during the holidays. I think I've spent enough time mourning over my old bike.

Its been a long week for me...On Tuesday, I finally bought my car and I've spent the whole week until Friday assembling it, piece by piece, part by part. Its about 99% ready to rumble, save for a few tweaks here and there which I'll let my seniors sort out next Tuesday. While I was assembling, I kept getting this deja vu of me being back in Primary school and I've locked myself in my room, far away from my parents and I'm happily tinkering at my Tamiya 4WD cars. I still have my box of Tamiya stuff which I keep in excellent condition. Vintage stuff. Extremely sentimental to me as well.As I'm typing, I'm waiting for my new table from Ikea which is supposed to be delivered today at 11am. Delivery guys are late as usual. The minute the table is here I'm going to set it up and move all my stuff back. Wooooooooooo!!! I've been getting really cramped at my old table with my laptop, books and everything.
Later on at around 6 I'm going off for a family reunion dinner. To be honest, I don't see anything to reunite. I don't talk to most of my cousins except during large family occasions. And there's nothing to talk about. I'm 18 and in poly and most of them are working and married.
I'll be getting my pay on Tuesday!! Around $200 and I'll be getting my Zen with that. Finally. Its been killing me without an mp3 player. All the lonely walks and bus rides to and from school. 8Gb of music and 30hours of playback time is more than enough for me. Looking forward!!
Here's a rumour to either faint or laugh at: Its rumoured that Kevin got 8 points for his L1R4. According to the two goons Hanafie and Jeronne who seem to be forever idolising 'smart' people. Here's the story: Jeronne called Kevin to ask him about his results. Jeronne said that Kevin told him that he was busy, but after much pestering, Kevin said '24 points'. Then Hanafie called Kevin to ask him exactly the same thing. This time Hanafie said Kevin told him '14 points'. Then Jeronne called Kevin AGAIN and this time Kevin said '8 points'. And this time round Kevin gave a detailed list of his results which included an A1 for English and A2 for Maths. When Jeronne asked why such a big difference in points, Kevin said 'I counted wrongly.'
Really? Received results last Thursday, achieved an A2 for Maths, and when asked 2 days ago he could have 'counted wrongly'? I don't think even people who have failed their Maths would have wrongly counted something as important as their O Level points.
Start wondering about the all-time controversial Kevin Shoff.
