YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! PASSED MY FTT ON TUESDAY NIGHT!!!! AND FINISHED MY FINAL LESSON TODAY!!! AND I FORGOT HOW FUN DRIVING AN AUTO IS!!! WOOOOOOOOOOO!!! NO GEAR CHANGING, NO ENGINE BRAKING, NO CLUTCHING!!!! Hahahaha....I can't help it...I even had my usual instructor today, and I'm not exaggerating but he said I'm the most gifted student he has ever come across. Weeeeeeeeeeee!!!! We had a couple of test routes and circuits to practice for a bit, then we headed out for a joy ride, and damn he can pick good routes. All the roads we went through had a 70km/h speed limit and the roads were super long...I asked for permission to slam the accelerator and he said okay. And did I slam it; since I didn't have to worry about gear changing, the car leapt forward like Sam had just sprayed water up Gray's ass. I weaved in and out of traffic at 80+km/h like it was nothing. Hahahahahha....the only thing I'm pissed about today is that my parents are out of town till Sunday, so I can't book my test. Another achievement I'm proud of: I completed my entire course with the bare minimum number of lessons, and thats 18.

To add to my list of joys, I collected my cheque for the IT show before my lesson. And its $325. Not bad considering I worked for 4 days and on commission too. That means I'm getting my bike sooooooooooooon!!!

So...first day of Year 2 wasn't too bad...I have a couple of strict lecturers; both uptight about using laptops in class...dammit...there goes our gaming sessions. Hahaha...but on the bright side I can tell that they're good lecturers. The type who makes sure you understand the stuff before they move on. Anyway, my class has been cut in half..the other missing half are those who failed more than 1 module and had to be 'retained'. Serve them right...the class is so much quieter now and I can actually hear the lesson going on. CCA training has been moved to Saturday and I'm kinda bummed about it. There goes my relaxing day of doing nothing. I've made up my mind to make the most of Saturday by going to the gym before training with mini cars. I hope I can cut down the fat and build up the packs. And I just found out that I'm having an elective class with that stupid bitch Qian Hui. Its just my luck no one else in my class picked that elective. She's going to be the only person I know and I'll be forced to be with her. Fark.

Good news on the driving. I'm having my FTT and second last lesson tomorrow. And my last lesson is on Friday, which means I can book for my TP. With a little luck I can get my license by end of this month. Yay...

I'm almost done with driving!! I have 8 more lessons to go through from Monday to Thursday before I'm qualified to take my Traffic Police Practical Test. Left with a few basic things such as U-turns, 3 point turns and parking. All easy stuff since I already know how to do them. The only problem is I have no idea how strict and what the examiner's expectations are. Do I gun the accelerator too much? Do I shift gears too late? I mean come on...I'm driving a Honda City 1.5L manual. The gear box is light and hollow, and although the acceleration produced from the engine surprised me a little, its still a 1.5L engine. I literally have to slam the pedal to the floor if I want to overtake or change lanes. Sigh... I miss that Volkswagen Jetta 2.0L I drove in South Africa. Okay, granted, it was an automatic, but still; I can feel such a huge difference. Oh..and my Final Theory Test is next Tuesday, so I gotta read through the book a few more times to eliminate any tricky questions.

Tomorrow I'll try to be patient and practice shifting the gears early...I'm hoping that if I give a smooth ride during my test, the examiner might not be too strict.

And I'm also bummed about not having a car to drive once I pass. I thought of joining a car sharing company, but the idiots require members to be at least 21 years old. Thats retarded. Which means I'm now stuck with two options: Car rental and borrowing cars. And car rental is also stupid: All car rental companies pick such remote places for their offices. That kind of defeats the purpose of renting cars.

I'm so looking forward to getting a job after my degree and moving out of this stupid house. Then I can get my own car (I'm eyeing the Honda Civic 1.6L) and drive everywhere. Or if I can afford a little more, perhaps an RX-8 or something around that level. Dream on.
