WOOOOOOOOO!!! I'm hyped!! I OFFICIALLY DECLARE MYSELF A FULLY FLEDGED KELLY CLARKSON FAN!!! I think she has done almost everything to become an exceptional singer with amazing vocal abilities. From awe inspiring songs such as A Moment Like This to country themed ones like Breakaway to her latest single My Life Would Suck Without You, she has performed almost every type of song known to mankind. And she does it amazingly with all.

Britney Spears should take a leaf out of Ms Clarkson's book. Spears has such an amazing voice as well, but as all of us know, her career has been a roller coaster. She needs to slow down on producing rush albums to keep her fans happy, sit down and consider going under a makeover with her type of music. The reason why Spears shot to stardom is because of her first album ...Baby One More Time. Has anyone stopped trying to catch up with her albums like Circus and gone back in time to listen to hits like Baby One More Time, You (Drive Me Crazy), Sometimes and From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart? Isn't that what defined her when she first emerged into the music industry?

Oops! I Did It Again gave her a fresh look, especially with the album injected with a electronic theme. Obvious tracks are Oops! I Did It Again and Stronger which soon proved to be the doorway to her image going electronic and dance. Not that I'm saying I don't appreciate it; believe me, I dance and sing along to tracks such as I Love Rock 'n Roll, Toxic, Gimme More, Piece Of Me, Womanizer and Circus. Not many people notice that all these hits are all dance/electronic themed and none of them really show off her vocal abilities. In fact, the only slow tempo hit which I can recall at the tip of my tongue is Everytime from her album In the Zone.

What I'm saying is: Is Britney Spears a complete washed up, over rated singer/celebrity? The answer is no. Spears is a singer with enormous potential which was clearly revealed with her first two albums. I among a select few others appreciated her quality with her original songs, where they had meaning and true colour. She should move back into her comfort zone, performing songs which reveal her vocal abilities. Granted, she is no longer at the age where teen pop suits her but take a look at other singers who have gone through similar phases: Kelly Clarkson has gone from country in Thankful and Breakaway to more rock in her latest album, All I Ever Wanted. Clarkson has kept the vital importance of being able to sing and show off her vocal strengths. If anything, my opinion of Clarkson has not changed since her first album even though her type of songs have changed through the years. This is what all singers should do to keep their fan base happy and keep their careers going strong.

After all, she is the one and only Britney Jean Spears: Credited with reviving teen pop in the 90's. Close to being a legend, (even uncles and aunties know her), a multi platinum selling star, this is one singer who really should not go to waste. Move on from your life with Federline and leave it behind. You're now a mother of two and its time to change your songs, rise from beneath the debris and show the world who you really are.

Fug...lost 2 - 0 to Fulham away...what's happening man? Hopefully the two week international break will give us time to re-focus and return with a bang like we almost always do...

Returning the car tonight...and I'm going to work nights for the whole week straight to make up for lost time/money...sigh..

BUT, I'm happy that I've got improved grades this semester!!

It's the first time ever that my GPA has crossed the 2 mark...I have another 2 semester left and I'm going to aim for that coveted 3!!

Went for Red Jumpsuit Apparatus concert at Downtown East D'Marquee last night with Lydia and her MDIS friends...what a weird venue by the way. We were joking that they probably performed there because they didn't have money to book a hotel for the night in town and had to take the MRT back with us to Changi Airport after the show..hahhahaha...the turnout was quite pathetic but the crowd was strong and supportive..must have been around 300 - 400 people there...slightly less than AAR..The whole pit was only half filled so we had plenty of space to sit down and chat during the opening act by a local band A Vacant Affair.

They had separate wrist tags for those under 18 and over 18..green for the kids, red for the adults (that's us!!)..and it was because they were selling beer at the corner..could see so many tweens just screaming and jumping up and down during the show...quite amusing..

Between the 6 of us, we only knew 3 songs in total. And Lydia and I could only sing along with Face Down. I sang along to Your Guardian Angel myself because apparently she hasn't heard of the song -_- So for the rest of the 10 songs or so, we just fake hummed along and screamed when necessary...hahaha..

Gonna go for a proper swim today...haven't had one in years...I bought powered goggles yesterday for $42..hoping my dad will reimburse me. And I had a bad night's sleep last night because I was tossing and turning, thinking of a work out schedule.

That's it for now...by the way, Liverpool 4 - 0 Real Madrid. Whoa. Impressive.

I think I'm starting to be a real fan of The All-American Rejects...before their Nokia Promo concert I wasn't that great a fan, but now that my ears have been exposed to more of their music, I'm starting to appreciate their songs...here's another great one from their latest album When The World Comes Down: I Wanna.

I might want to be a DJ when I start my career proper.Hmmm....
